Another fun bird walk last Sunday. It’s the fall migration, so it was a chance to spot some birds that are just passing through on their way south. America Robins were feasting on the Hawthorns - too many to count! Thank you so much to Adele O’Dowd for arranging these and to Pete Givan for leading the group.

"We recorded 22 species, mostly heard and not seen. The star of the day was the American Robin whose numbers were beyond counting. Two winter birds have arrived, the Dark-eyed Junco and the White-throated Sparrow. Of particular interest was both the Ruby-crowned Kinglet and the Golden-crowned Kinglet; two birds migrating through on their way to Central and South America.
