H20 Summit

Taking pride in local water quality, networking, and learning about what is happening in your area is what the H2O Summit is all about! Join us to learn about water quality and how you can become more involved.

Since 2020 has become quite unique, the H2O Summit will be held virtually via Zoom.

There will be pre-registration. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the event link for the day of the event.  You may attend the entire event or participate in as many or as few sessions as you like.

While this year’s event may be different than previous years and networking will occur through a computer screen, we will still have excellent topics to learn about and discuss.

2020 H2O Summit Topics

  • ·         Stormwater (MS4) – Hear from the County and Phase II jurisdictions on their progress including the status of the County’s new permit and new approaches DEP is rolling out to reduce stormwater.

  • ·         Climate Change and Resiliency - Hear about the current progress on climate change and resiliency from the County and the City of Rockville. Learn how you can get involved.

  • ·         Pesticide Law – Learn more about the County pesticide law and how it is being implemented including other jurisdictions that are adopting the law.

  • ·         Litter Issues – Local experts will be on hand to discuss litter issues facing the County and plans to combat them.

All these topics and more will be highlighted at the event. More information can be found on the event page: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/water/education/events.html          Pre-register here.

The H2O Summit is a collaborative effort by Montgomery County, Montgomery Parks, WSSC Water, Cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville, and University of Maryland Extension.
