Please join us for a morning of planting. We will be planting native perennials - purple coneflower, golden ragwort and orange coneflowers.. It’s a great opportunity to see what can be done with all native plants. Learn more about the Green Acres Habitat: https://www.lfwa.org/meadow-green-acres. We’ll also be doing some maintenance and removing non-native invasives including lesser celandine and Italian arum.

Bring gloves and a shovel or use ours.. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes and bring plenty of water to drink.

We will meet at the bottom of Yorktown Road where it dead ends into the Little Falls Branch. The closest address for GPS is 5301 Yorktown Road.

Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Students under 14 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Weather policy: We usually hold pulls as long as it is not dangerous for outside work. We will post messages on the LFWA website by 9:00 that morning if we need to cancel.
