Glen Echo National Park
7300 MacArthur Blvd
Glen Echo, MD 20812
Join us to remove the non-native invasives that are killing trees and crowding out native understory plants in the Glen Echo Park.
Park in the main Glen Echo Park Parking lot (at the corner of Oxford and MacArthur Blvd). Look for us at the top of the lot right as you turn onto Oxford Avenue. We’ll be working along the path there.
We have tools and gloves to share. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes to protect against angry thorns. Bring water. It could get hot!
Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
We are excited to be partnering with Tree Friends United for this event and joining them on their quest to free the trees in Glen Echo Park and along MacArthur Blvd from strangling vines and English Ivy.
Weather policy: We usually hold pulls as long as there is not pouring rain or dangerous weather conditions. We will post messages on the LFWA website by 9:00 that morning if we need to cancel.
