CANCELED
Boundary Park
Western and Park Avenue
Bethesda, MD

In response to the evolving circumstances with the COVID-19 virus, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is closing all events taking place in parks and at park facilities through April 30.

Please note: Outdoor areas of the parks will remain open to the public from sunrise to sunset.

Join Weed Warrior Supervisor Steve Dryden for a non-native, invasive plant removal workday at Boundary Park Neighborhood Conservation Area in Bethesda (on the Washington DC boundary line). We’ll be conquering English ivy, euonymus, porcelain berry, and bush honeysuckle — and moving brush.

Please wear long pants that cover your ankles, long sleeves, and sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Bring gloves, pruners, and loppers if you have them. Please bring water to drink. Gloves and tools are available to borrow if you don’t have your own. No power tools or machetes allowed. This workday is pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Volunteers 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

For questions, meet-up location, and to sign-up, please email Steve at jsdryden@comcast.net. This event will be held at Boundary Park Neighborhood Conservation Area
